Abstract
The author gives an overview of the typical problems of digital visual fatigue in contact lens users. It is noted that modern SCL Bausch + Lomb ULTRA provide users of digital devices a healthy and comfortable wearing with high quality of vision.

Abstract
Currently, the process of developing LED lighting has approached the point of bifurcation, and lighting technicians faces a choice of a promising development concept. Two concepts are considered of the development of solid-state sources of light (i. e. semiconductor sources of white light). The first concept is based on traditional LEDs that emit white light with a discrete (line) spectrum, and the second is based on semiconductor sources of white light with a continuous and biologically adequate spectrum of radiation. The perspective of the two concepts is based on the evaluation of the usefulness of the white light emitted by them for the visual analyzer and human health in general. The results are given of an expert evaluation of the prospects for the development of traditional LED technology by the employees of the US Department of Energy. In their opinion, we should take into account human physiology. This requirement significantly limits the possibility of using traditional LED technology with a discrete spectrum of radiation in a general lighting systems. According to the world expert community, the main issue of modern lighting technology is choosing the right spectrum of white light, safe and comfortable for all age groups and reducing light pollution of the environment. Taking into account the regularities and peculiarities of white LED light perception by visual analyzer, the concept is proposed of semiconductor sources with a continuous and biologically adequate spectrum of radiation. It will significantly reduce the light load on human visual analyzer, making its reaction similar to the reaction to sunlight. The results are presented of measurements of the characteristics of a new lamp prototype developed during the research «Development of an industrial technology for the production of energy-efficient LED white light sources with a biologically adequate spectrum of radiation».
