Abstract
One of the most common complaints in optics is a feeling of discomfort and dry eyes. Patients can experience discomfort with improper selection of contact lenses: inappropriate refraction, steep or flat fit, choice of lens material without proper examination of the eye surface and without caring about the patient's lifestyle. Рroper anamnesis, detailed complains, careful examination with using of vital dyes helps to avoid discomfort and prescribe the most suitable contact lenses and care products.

Abstract
Accommodation disorders in a similar clinical picture have different pathogenesis, different biomechanics, different effect on refractogenesis and on progression of myopia. The authors believe that different qualitative states of accommodation have different effects on the rate of myopia progression. The highest rate of myopia progression is observed in children with accommodative disorders, characterized by high rates of accommodation lag. When choosing the optimal correction for children with myopia, an individual approach is necessary, taking into account the magnitude of the decrease in accommodative response. The effect of accommodation disorders on the rate of myopia progression in children can be reduced by prescribing of correction that affects peripheral refraction (ortho-K lenses, defocusing, multifocal contact lenses, etc.).
