PRECISION7 contact lenses: fresh perspective on compliance

Abstract

This article provides an overview of the scientific and clinical evidence for the new PRECISION7 weekly replacement silicone hydrogel contact lenses. The properties of the novel serafilcon A material and the ACTIV-FLO technology, which maintains lens surface hydration throughout the 7-day replacement cycle, are described. Laboratory and clinical findings demonstrate sustained comfort, visual performance, and resistance to lipid deposition during prolonged wear, including under conditions of increased digital device use. The weekly replacement schedule is discussed as a novel reusable lens modality that may simplify adherence to recommended replacement schedules and support patient compliance with practitioner recommendations for contact lens wear.
