Адекватное применение методов медицинской статистики позволяет правильно оценивать частоту осложнений при контактной коррекции зрения и использовать данный параметр при разработке практических рекомендаций как для специалистов, так и для пациентов.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Unfortunately, contact lens practitioners do not always know the methods of medical statistics in sufficient volumes. This leads to errors in the assessment of morbidity encountered in contact lens practice. In turn it can lead to erroneous conclusions. The article presents a statistically valid expression of frequency of complications, a statistically valid reliability of estimate of significant differences in this parameter between different samples. The specific examples of calculations are also given.
